Not sure what to say?

Dear Kenny,
It's kind of bittersweet that we were both losing a parent at the same time. My father left this world the day after your Mom, with his wife & three children & other relatives around him.
I can tell by the other entries that your mom was a special lady.
I hope that perhaps some of our conversations at the fruit stand this past summer will be especially meaningful.
I hope that you had special times with all of your brothers & sisters being together sharing this...

On behalf of our Mother and ourselves we'd like to thank each and every one of you for your sweet thoughts and prayers, thank you, thank you, and thank you, as Ma would say let's Boogie!!!!!

Meme... I will miss you dearly.

To My Friends,
My thoughts and heart go out to you at the loss of your Mother. I regret that I won't be able to make it to the service, but I'd like to share some of my thoughts with you.

You all have always seemed like "family" to me. One thing that I will always remember about your Mom was that she had a truly unique and upbeat outlook towards life. It's easy to see why she was "Mom" to all of your friends (myself included) as she welcomed everyone with an open and...

"What she would say" by Marlena Giammichele
In Memory of My Grandmother "Meme."

An Angel came today,
Loaning her their breath as she took her journey to a place she once talked about.

Still I sit broken, as I wittness the tears in each of her children's eyes
I wondered to myself, what would she tell them now, and I thought I heard her say.....

"I'm here now dressed in fine linen, And my bodies strong and lean
I have Mom and Dad right next...

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
