Funeral Tuesday March 20, 2012, In state 9:30 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church 1000 St. Anne St (Detroit) with Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery (Detroit). Although I didn't get a chance to attend the funeral, I did go to Rita's bro's house for an after-viewing get together. If there is anything good that ever comes out of passing, it is that familia and friends gather to celebrate and remember the good times we each had with Rita. My daughter, Raquel and Jesse knew Rita when they were younger. Raquel accompanied me to visit Mitzi, Dolly, Butch and Ruben Salinas...her Godfather. RIP, Rita. We will always remember and love you. To the family of Rita; The service for Rita at St. Annes was moving and beautiful. What a beautiful church to have the mass for such a wonderful woman. Although it was very difficult for your family, you did her proud. So many people loved her and you can tell by how many people were there. I'm sure she was dancing in heaven listening to the music. Rita came into our lives at Prism Data Systems, in San Antonio, a short 18 months ago. She opened her heart to us, as all who know her, like she had known us forever. I worked very close with her and she was so full of life. She loved her dancing and she loved her family. My heart aches so much and I will miss her so very very much. Rita girl, you teach those angels how to dance!!! Love ya girl!
