Leland and I want to express our heartfelt condolences to Rita's wonderful family. We had the unique opportunity of living across the street from her. I often spent time talking with her as she worked in the front yard pruning her juniper bushes. I also played golf on occasion with her on ladies day at Tualatin Country Club. As our family left and we became empty nesters, she told me that our daughter, Shana was living in the same apartment that local nurses after WWII

Herb and I were part of Bill and Rita's wonderful Standard Insurance Agency family. We remember fondly Rita's pool parties every summer. She was such a fun lady....so open and loving to every one of us. We loved and respected both Bill and Rita for all that they did for others.

Dear Family of Rita Donnelly,
I am the daughter of her nursing school friend, Nikki Burns (Dorothy Nicholson). I remember meeting Rita when I was a kid in Portland in the late 60's, and we reconnected when my daughter Nicole when to kindergarten with Taylor around 1987. It just tickled my mom that her granddaughter was a buddy of Rita's granddaughter.
I think both women were amazing nurses, and probably got into a lot of trouble together. I just know that my mom always spoke of...
