Rita Delia Dowd

Rita was the first person to welcome my family to Bennington back in 1969. She just appeared one day and started discussing our "garden" in the back yard. She and Paul and the kids became friends. She was truly a wonderful person and will not be forgotten by the Hughes family.

I wept when I heard the news. Your parents have always had a special place in my heart. They indeed were role models. My thoughts are with you now, but do know of how many happy memories they've left behind with SO many people. Please know that you can still speak with them anytime for they are there. It's just that you have to listen more carefully for angels have soft voices. (Yes, all of them!) There are many already in heaven that have been awaiting your mother's arrival....
