ANSONIA: Rita Arvida Fazzino, 91, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on October 14, 2013, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Harry M. Fazzino.
Mrs. Fazzino was born in Ansonia on June 9, 1922, daughter of the late Giustino and Jennie Arnone Pantalone. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was devoted to her loving family. Rita was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her cherished grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons, Michael F. Fazzino of Oxford and Carl Fazzino (Michele) of East Haven, a daughter, Rita R. Fazzino of Ansonia, a brother, Samuel Pantalone of Ansonia, two sisters, Rose Goggi of Ansonia and Anamarie Cook (Edward) of Middletown, four grandchildren, Christopher M. Fazzino of Milford, Giana, Gabrielle, and Christina Fazzino of East Haven, sister in law, Margaret Pantalone of Ansonia and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Pantalone and a sister, Viola Ciola.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday October 17, 2013, from 4-7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral at 9:45 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia.
