Rita D Galvin, 94 of Boynton Beach, Florida, formerly of Worcester, MA, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2021 with her eldest son by her side. She would have celebrated her 95th birthday on August 7.

She was the youngest daughter of Italian immigrants, the late Michael and Giuseppina (Zaretti)
Molinari. Brothers Angelo and Alfred Molinari, and sister Jennie Argentati predeceased her.
Rita graduated in 1944 from Major Edwards High School, West Boylston, MA. She was
employed at Thom McAn Shoe Corporate Headquarters for 17 years, retiring in 1991.
Rita married the late Vincent J Russell in September 1949. Widowed at an early age, she
married the late William F Galvin in August 1957.

Rita had boundless love for her three sons: Richard M (deceased) and Gary V Russell of
Boynton Beach, Florida, and Michael W Galvin of Worcester. She will be greatly missed by her
three grandchildren John V, Brian C, and Brendan C Russell all of Orlando, Florida, and a host
of nieces and nephews.

A devoted Red Sox fan, Rita celebrated her 90th birthday at Fenway Park. She was immensely
proud of her family and leaves nothing but beautiful memories.

A celebration of Rita’s life will be held in Worcester at a later date. For those wishing to make a

A wonderful mother to my dad and uncles, a great friend to many, and the quintessential grandmother to me and my brothers. Grandma Rita would always make sure you were eating, and never passed up an opportunity to brag about her grandsons.
