Redmond, Oregon Rita Darlean Glover of Redmond, Oregon, passed away peacefully, after a tough fight with heart trouble on November 19, 2015, at Legacy Hopewell House in Portland, Oregon. She was 87. A Public Visitation will take place Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 12:30 PM, followed by a Recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 PM at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 1720 NW 19th Street in Redmond. A Funeral Mass will take place at 2:00 P.M., followed immediately by a reception. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Deschutes Memorial Gardens, 63875 N Hwy 97 in Bend, OR. Rita was born May 21, 1928 in Lynch, Nebraska, to Charles and Adeline (Jones) Underwood. She lived there until the age of ten, at which time her family moved to Hubbard, Oregon. It was here that she met the love of her life, James Glover, while picking hops in the hop yard. Rita graduated from Hubbard High School in 1946. On May 5, 1948, they were married in Hubbard, OR. They had seven children. Rita enjoyed hunting and fishing with her husband, going to the rodeo and watching bull riding on television and always had a crocheted blanket ready for the next newborn grandchild or great grandchild. She was also a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and she was also involved with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Rita always had a hearty laugh, a ready smile, and warm hugs for all. She will be sadly missed. Rita is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, James Glover of Redmond, OR; five sons, Stan Glover, Stacy Glover, ?John Glover, Jay Glover and Jeff Glover and one daughter, Camilla Brumitt. Other survivors include 25 Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren and nine Great-Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Adeline Underwood and step-mother, Marie (Hill) Underwood; son Steven Glover; ?brother ?Violas Royce; sister Charlean Glover; son-in-law Terry Brumitt and great-great grandson Matthew Glover.
