When David and I got married, Gene and Reverend Rowser married us at the Brethren Church in New Lebanon. Our wedding gift from them was a set of beautiful handmade ornaments that Rita made for us. They had our names and the year we got married on them. She added such special details. They are still proudly displayed each year on our Christmas tree for 44 years now and I think of her every Christmas when I hang them on our tree! Dear Gene and family - our thoughts and prayers are with you at Rita's passing. We have so many wonderful memories of Rita. She was full of joy and playfulness so the first memory that came to our minds was the time at church when Rita showed us she could still stand on her head!! She will be missed in this life but we are grateful we will see her again in heaven and that she is with our precious Lord. Love you all.
