As a high school classmate of Rita's, I vividly remember her vibrancy and friendliness. At post-graduation class reunions, I recall her love for her profession, nursing, and kind words of others. We missed Rita at our most recent reunion in July 2025. May her family and friends find comfort in her memory. Rest in Peace, Rita.

Rita Jean Reef was my third cousin! We graduated together from Carroll High school! There were in fact a bunch of cousins in that class! Rita had a kind of challenging childhood in that rural part of Indiana (as we all did) but was a hard worker with resilience and had a sense of kindness and empathy! When I put info into our family tree today, I remembered she was active in the Cutler Presbyterian Church and 4-H cooking, and I had to just proudly smile that she earned her nursing degree! God...

I was a classmate of Rita's. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends as they go through the healing process.

I was a classmate of Rita's, we shared a lot in those days. We dated some, movies and long talks. Rita was such a kind person, she will be remembered fondly.
