Not sure what to say?

Rita, you will be missed very much by myself and my family. May you rest in peace.

Rita was my Aunt and a great one at that. Mine and my families sympathy and love goes out to all her family and loved ones.

I happened to read of Rita's passing in the Deerfield Review and it struck me quite forceably, even though I have not seen Rita for 40 yrs. I was a Kappa, with Rita, at the U of I, and remember her bubbly nature & caring personality. I have not spoken with her since graduation in '73, but wanted to send my condolences. You have my sincere sympathy, as i know how difficult it is to lose a child. With deepest sympathy.

I'll never forget being 9 or 10 years old, when Rita was junior and senior in high school (she was classmate and friend of my older brother and sisters). In my mind, in addition to being Homecoming Queen, she may as well have been a Princess. I'll always remember her generosity of time and attention. You can tell a lot about someone's character by how they treat children. She is a beautiful person whom God will have special plans for. My heart goes out to her family and friends.

I was a classmate of Rita's. In our high school years she touched many lives because she was involved in many activities but probably best known as cheerleader, and Prom queen. She was always friendly, beautiful, caring, and simply a genuine person. I am saddened to hear of hear passing. We all missed her at the 40th reunion this past weekend. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family and close friends. She is at rest now in God's loving care.

We are shocked and saddened to learn of Rita's passing. Although it has been many years since we have seen each other we remember fondly our gatherings at Mrs.P&Me, Villa Bleu and their home in LBS. Rita was a beautiful person, both inside and out. We will keep Rita and the Kelley family in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so saddened by the news of Rita's passing. May she now be feeling the peace and serenity for which she was searching.

I am so sorry and shocked to hear about your loss. I worked with Rita for many years at United. I always admired how eloquently she spoke and her natural beauty inside and out. I know Rita had personal struggles, we had many heartfelt conversations. My prayers and thoughts are with the people who she loved and loved her.

It's entirely true that Rita was very much on our minds and in our hearts this past weekend. Homecoming of our senior year was a very important event for everyone, and continues to be for each year following. Rita chose a different sort of homecoming this year, yet she was still with us for our reunion. What a beautiful person she was! My special thoughts and prayers go out to Rita's family. Lydia Wilder

Rita was so very loving and so very beautiful. I am praying for her family and send my condolences. This past weekend was our Class of '70 Reunion and we were asked over and over where Rita was -- but no one knew. May the Lord bless and keep all those who love her, knowing she is enfolded in the every-loving, everlasting arms of our Father in Heaven. Kathy Harris
