I met Ms. Rita give years ago at Food lion. She would come to the store I would go out to get her and help her do the shopping. Then I got where I would go home with her and help her with the groceries and put them away. Ms. Rita always made me laugh and smile. Ms. Rita I will miss you dearly my sweet chickadee. Rita was a beautiful light on this earth. I met her through her daughter Kim and started writing to her during covid times as as a way to get to know her and enjoy some penpal friendship. Though our age numbers were quite different, we were both humans who thought the same things were funny, enjoyed some of the same hobbies and she taught me some lessons in life that I will always remember. Just saw the notice of Rita´s passing and wanted to send our thoughts and prayers to the family . I remember Rita and Sonia fondly as I grew up in St. Joe and our parents were best friends and often shared Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner together every year . I was always amazed at Rita´s talents and sweet demeanor as a young girl and reading about all her successes I am so happy she made the world a better place .
