I met Ms. Rita give years ago at Food lion. She would come to the store I would go out to get her and help her do the shopping. Then I got where I would go home with her and help her with the groceries and put them away. Ms. Rita always made me laugh and smile. Ms. Rita I will miss you dearly my sweet chickadee. Rita was a beautiful light on this earth. I met her through her daughter Kim and started writing to her during covid times as as a way to get to know her and enjoy some penpal friendship. Just saw the notice of Rita´s passing and wanted to send our thoughts and prayers to the family . I remember Rita and Sonia fondly as I grew up in St. Joe and our parents were best friends and often shared Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner together every year . I was always amazed at Rita´s talents and sweet demeanor as a young girl and reading about all her successes I am so happy she made the world a better place .
