Not sure what to say?

Sr Rita Marie was our 8th grade teacher at St. Peter School in Lorain. She was quite the character! We enjoyed learning her poems and songs. She will be missed! We still recite those poems. She was very particular and meticulous, but everything happened the way it was supposed to and when it was supposed to!

My mother, Florence Dlouhy Manuszak, has known Sister Rita Marie, since their days at Notre Dame High School. They were both members of the Class of '36, and have kept in touch, on and off, depending on their health, for all of these years. While health issues prevent my mother from attending Sister's funeral, she asked that I send condolences on her behalf, and let Sister's family and the Notre Dame Community know that she always cherished her longtime friendship with her good friend,...

The Notre Dame Community has not lost a wonderful sister but gained an angel in Heaven that will continue to pray for all of us. Survive your grief with happy memories of the past.

I'll never forget her sweet tone when she called me "honey". It seemed like we knew each other for a long time.
I am blessed to have been able to spend some precious moments, however few, with her.

The time she saved was so often used to help another staff member or do an extra task in the convent. Once I had the responsibility for a school performance to honor our pastor on his anniversary of ordination. As a younger sister, I was in a sweat...
