Grandma, These posts below say it all! This is who you were! A shining light in this often dark world. I take this example with me every day and keep you in my heart forever. Until I get to hug you again....Jennifer

What a lovely lady your family has lost, I send my prayers to Donna, Cecelia, Anthony, and sweet friend Pat Jost, her niece. She was a stand-out person in my life that always had a smile and kind words for me. I was her beautician and friend as well, and she was always so happy when she got her hair done. I will never forget her, she was wonderful. Love to all.

Mrs Russo as I always called her was a huge influence on me as a young girl growing up with Donna at Holy Cross. We were always at their home and she was always loving us and yelling at us at the same time as we were trouble x2. She was like a second mother to me who I deeply respected and loved. Mr and Mrs Russo always made you feel like part of the family and welcomed you into their home. God Bless her and Cecelia, Donna, and Tony....much love to all of you, Mary Schirp Schicker

I have such wonderful memories of your mom from her days at Holy Cross. I will keep her and her family in my prayers.

My first real job was pushing carts and bagging at the Bettendorf's Circle store.I was a junior at Augustinian Academy. On my first day I was nervous but Rita welcomed me and took me under her wing. Her smile and laugh made my day as well as countless customers. Her line was always long as each person looked forward to spending a few minutes with her as their worries would fade away and they would leave with a smile, (and some great glazed donuts). Who did I want to bag for? - Rita of course!...

We are truly going to miss you. What a wonderful and happy person you were all of your life. Love Jeanne and Steve Williams

So sorry Rita's gone. She was a true friend to my folks (Bud & Wilma) & myself. My deepest sympathy to the entire Russo family.
