TRAINOR, Rita (Plante) - Of Flushing, died Monday, May 17, 2010 at Swank Assisted Living. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2010 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint, Father Thomas Firestone officiating. Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rita was born in Oxford, Massachusetts, the daughter of John and Leontine Plante and was a resident of the Flint area since 1962. She was a member of the Blue Army at All Saints Catholic Church and Flint Township Senior Citizens. Mrs. Trainor was employed by Hurley Medical Center School of Nursing for 14 years, retiring in 1983. Surviving are five children, Kathleen and husband Gary Seaman of Swartz Creek, Candice and husband Dr. Henry Mendoza of Flushing, Paul and wife Karen of Grand Blanc, Richard of Mt. Pleasant, Michael and wife Julie of Midland; twelve grandchildren, Geoffrey, Kristin, Caryn, Michael, Allison, Lindsey, Bethany, Patrick, Kaitlin, Kimberlee, Bryan and Crystal; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Makenzie and Griffen Seaman, Ashlyn and Colin Peltier; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Peter Trainor, in 1967; six brothers and six sisters. Candi, Henry and Family sorry for the loss of your Mother, You were so good to your Mother, you helped her out as well as she was there for you and the Kids, I know Heaven is much neater, she was very neat about her self and her surronding, she was a very nice lady to know, I lost my Mother at 92, and I thank God for the year's he gave us with her, I Think of you often, may God Bless You and your Family and grant you Peace though our Lord and savior. Kathy & Gary, Your mom was a wonderful person who always found the positive in someone. You were so lucky to have wonderful parents who cared so much for all of you. Your mom & dad always treated us as part of the family. Your mom even came to my parents funerals just a few years ago. We were blessed to have them with us for so long. My sympathy to the entire family.

Candi: So sorry for your loss our mothers were the foundation of the family. I miss my mom but had her for 93 years(2008)But as you, we will (ALWAYS)have the great pictures and wonderful thoughts.
