Rita volunteered for me and with me in MANY faithful capacities over the years, dating back for than 30 years when she and Gregg chaired the Greater Harrisburg Arts Festival (my first involvement in volunteering in Harrisburg). When I subsequently chaired the same festival a decade later, and found myself in way over my head, Rita was at my side literally every day for three months (and frequently invited me home to the Warner residence for supper). She provided similar assistance at...

Rita was "sui generis", one of a kind and a cherished friend. Unpretentious and forthright, she could always be counted on for some interesting observations on a wide range of subjects, a fun-filled outlook on life, a glass of wine in the evening, dog treats for the neighbor doggies, and friendship to all. We were friends for more than 40 years, laughed and cried our way together through child-rearing, work, travels, love, our cherished city, Harrisburg, and so many other things. There will...
