Not sure what to say?

When I saw the "Remembering Rita" email in my inbox I was instantly enveloped by the warmth of her marvelous and sonorous laughter in my mind's ear. I suspect I will always immediately "hear" your laughter when I remember you, Rita!

Rita will be sorely missed by me who was fortunate to have her as a teacher and supervisor at Stormont-Vail and then getting to enjoy her company on many, many occasions away from work. Blessed be to you and your family Dr. Wolf.

I will sorely miss my beautiful friend. We were blessed to have Rita living near us during her retirement. Tom and Rita's marriage was an example to all of us of love and commitment.

Dear Tom and family, I was so sad to learn of the loss of Rita. I can still hear the melody in her voice and see her beautiful smile and feel her wonderful spirit. I remember how much fun it was just having a conversation with her and her quick and generous wit. I have been in Houston now for 13 years and so have been away from all the parts of Kansas that I love. My heart goes out to you and your family and sending wishes for love and peace.

Tom,
WOW! Reading so many entries of Rita and the lives she touched has brought tears to my eyes. I may not know the people who wonderfully, and lovingly, wrote so much about the exceptional dear lady she was, but I learned about Rita more through these loving words and thoughts. She too touched my heart by her smile and the twinkle she always had in her eyes. I miss her.

Tom, and family, I am so sorry to hear about Rita's passing. She was a lovely woman and you both were an amazing couple. Thinking of you at this time. Fondly, John and Melanie

Rita was an exceptional Microbiologist and many Doctors would come to the SV Laboratory depending on her and the Microbiologist she trained for the right answer. I considered her a friend and leader in the field of Microbiology. She will be missed.

The essence of Rita Wolf, to me, was pure joy. It was an unassuming and undemanding brand of joy which she generously spread across her bounty of friends and professional acquaintances here in Topeka. I was blessed to have some of it land on me. Although we weren't close friends, the mere sound of Rita's voice always uplifted my soul.

Once, when consulting with Rita about her Topeka garden, we discussed her attraction to the hottest, most vibrant colors so often overlooked in...

Tom, I am so sorry to hear of Rita's passing. Rita and I worked with each other for both Czars exhibits in Topeka. She was an amazing lady and so very talented at recruiting volunteers for both exhibits. I know that Rita spent a lot of time at the Mulvane Art Museum, and may have been on the board. Please know that I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. Carol Emert
