Knowing you, Chuck and reading the condolences, I sure wish I would have known your mom. She sounds like a treasure! What a blessing to you and your family and everyone she met. May she rest in peace.
I am sorry you have lost this beautiful woman who you call Mom.

When I first met Rita, Chuck her husband was talking to me over the fence and I could hear her saying to him, "Chuck, who are you talking to?" She was so little she couldn't see me. I could tell she was trying to tip-toe.
She loved her family and bragged about her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. After her husband died, I made efforts to visit her. Almost each visit, we would look at Chuck's picture and she would say "My Chuck. I sure miss him".

I lost my mom in 2nd grade so I probably paid more attention to my friends' moms than your average grade school kid. Chuck, you were blessed with an awesome mom.

From 1976 to 1983 I purchased tickets to probably 75 rock concerts in the Seattle area. Back then you made an in-person visit to the 3rd floor of the Bon Marche ticket counter. It seemed like Rita was the only one working there because she was ALWAYS there.
