Last night I dreamt I was in a lab, seated at the typical black resin countertop, not unlike the ones at her lab at hunter. The place was empty. Then Dr. Rudner was there, came up to me, looked at me over the tops of her glasses, smiling and energetic and as always singularly focused. As she did so many times in life, she once again encouraged me along on my coursework, with her way which I can best describe as a cheerful disciplinary kindness. Then I was alone, working.
