My dear hecksel family, friends and people of faith.Rob and good friend Doug Smith...What a fun duo it was to hang out with. Fun Fun loving, full of energy and love for life was the Rob i knew. He spoke often of the "cottage" on Saube lake. I will carry on the"eight seconds of humanity in his honor.God bless you all.. Your loving friends Gary and Tod Pawlak.. may the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace..God love you Rob . the Pawlaks....

Sally and Family,
I met your Dad very briefly after one of the shows at LCC. I can tell that he was a very special person by the display of love and acknowledgement I have read here and in the newspaper. Monica looked up to him and his kindness touched her very much. I trust Monica's judgement. She explained "Eight Seconds of Humanity" to me and I will be forever mindful of this concept. What a wonderful display of love for your father to leave for all who knew him or read about...

Mary Rose, Sally, Alexa, Maya, and Mr. & Mrs. Hecksel and family,
I was so sorry to hear of Rob's passing. My deepest sympathies to you all. I sat by your family for many, many years at Holy Cross. The girls were so little then. Even though you wouldn't remember me, I have many memories of the Hecksel family. Rob was called home way too soon, but I know he was greeted with well done faithful servant, well done. Prayers for you all.

Dear Mary Rose and girls,
I was so saddened to hear of Rob passing. I enjoyed the time I cleaned for you. Rob was always so kind and caring.. and always wanting to know how things were going for me.
He will dearly be missed I am sure,, I feel and ache in my heart for you and the girls. May God be with you thru this time. My prayers will be with you too. They have been since we heard of the health problem and will certainly continue.
Sincerely,
Annie/Dianne Ferrigan

Rob was such a man of integrity. What an honor to meet him and his family. He placed a permanent seal of love on every ones heart, repeatedly reminding us God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Rob offered others the gift of being totally present, listening with his head and heart, and living in the moment. We promised Rob that we would "smother" him in prayers and we will continue to do so for his soul and for his family's needs. The world is a better place because Rob...

Dear Mike, Terri, and family,
Sorry to hear of the passing of Rob. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Looking at all these many entries it's impressive how many lives Rob touched. What a great family! I enjoyed watching the flash mob Rob and family got at Christmas time also. Rob loved all and was loved by all.
