Robbie Lynn Freeman Longview- Robbie Lynn Freeman went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the age of 48 on Monday, February 23, 2009, after a courageous battle against cancer. He was born April 23, 1960 in Longview, Texas to Albert Freeman and Linda McAlister Freeman. Robbie was a 1978 graduate of Tatum High School where he excelled in sports. He was married to Betsy Ann Ferguson on August 3, 1979 in Longview. Robbie was co-owner of C. D. Thomas Plumbing in Longview. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Robbie loved NASCAR and his annual crawfish boil. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wiley and Dessie Freeman, Walter and Bulah McAlister and brother-in-law, Paul Wayne Shankles. He is survived by his wife, Betsy Freeman of Tatum, daughters, Monica Freeman of Tatum and Marisha George and husband, Keoun of Longview; granddaughter, Keira Ann George; Father, Albert Freeman and wife, Adela of Chalk Hill; Mother, Linda Fields and husband, Lee of Tatum; Father and mother-in-law, Barney and Betty Ferguson of Longview; brothers, Joey and wife, Belinda, Darren and wife, Robin all of Tatum. Sister-in-law, Brenda Shankles of Kilgore; nephews, Randy, Jeremy, Blake, Nathan and Colton Freeman and Brent Shankles; Nieces, Wendy Crosby, Memorie and Cari Freeman and Pali Shankles, and special friends and business partners Cody and Angela Thomas. Robbie will be missed for his pranks and sense of humor. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be 2 PM Thursday, February 26, 2009 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Lakeport with Rev. Gary Orr and Rev. Ed Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Crims Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, February 25, 2009 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
