Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to read about the passing of Bob Luna. Known simply as "Luna" he and I were fellow students on the Colorado Outward Bound 6 week course in Colorado and Peru in 1973, culminating in the climb of heavily glaciated Nevado Santa Rosa in the Peruvian Andes. Luna was a great guy to be around, dependable and passionate about life. I'm glad to see that he had such a positive impact on so many people during his life.

I just found out that Bob had died, and am saddened at this news. He was one of our long term Art Instructors for Denver Parks and Recreations La Alma Recreation Center. He could make something out of nothing or anything. He was constantly working on something creative whether it was for DPR or community programs. He would take in and work with one kid to groups. He was incredibly resourceful and versatile; he worked in paper mache, clay, painting, tile mosaics...And he was an amazing...

I'll miss you Bob, and will always value and remember the honest and focused conversations we had. God Bless and God Speed my friend.

Bob was a brilliant art and social justice advocate with a special gift to connect with children. His wit, imagination and fluency in multiple art mediums was always inspiring. The many years we spent together shaped part of who I am, and all the good times with the wonderful Luna/Martinez family are held dearly in my heart. We had some great art adventures in dear Denver, and Bob's art spirit will shine on. My deep condolences to the family. Love, Martha

I only knew Bob as a bright light in dim world many years ago. I was better because of this. My love goes out to his family in this trying time.

Thanks Bob

We say adios to a longtime Museo familia member. Bob Luna was one of our artists and teachers, bringing Museo classes out into the community. The Luna family is an integral part of who we are at Museo, and our hearts go out to you all. Rest in Peace, Bob Luna. Thank you for sharing your light with the world.

My thoughts of peace for his family and friends. Thanks be for his contributing spirit while here. Would have crossed paths in East High if my family had remained. Will plan on seeing his murals when in Denver next.

I’ve got two of Bob’s paintings on my walls here in Wales, one of which has given me so much comfort over the years, the other reminding me of the vibrant art scene in the 80s in Denver that Bob was so much a leader of, and so much a voice for. He is so present to me in these works.

My condolences to all those who have been around him in recent years that will miss his everyday presence, will miss running into him and meeting up with him. My condolences to his family and very much...
