Mr. Robert Larry “Spot” Morris, age 75, of Orrum, NC passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024 at McLeod of Dillon, SC.


He was born September 24, 1948 in Dillon, SC to the late Joseph Daniel Morris, Sr. and the late Ruby Johnson Morris.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Rogers Morris; a brother, JD “Jeep” Morris and a sister, Kay Knight.


Mr. Robert was employed by the US Postal Service in Fairmont, NC as a clerk for over 20 years and he also served in the US Army. He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Men. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and riding his tractor.   


He is survived by two daughters, Sonya Parker (Tim), and Lynn Davis; six grandchildren, Cameron Wren, Caitlyn Wren, Damian Davis, Aaron Parker, Ruby Parker, and Eli Parker; a girlfriend, Robin Miller.


A time of visitation will be held Sunday, August 25, 2024 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 4413 Leggett Road, Fairmont, NC. Funeral services will immediately follow in the church at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Bear Swamp Church Cemetery, 541 Bear Swamp Road, Lake View, SC.

Sonya so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family in this difficult time and the days to come. Mr. Spot always made me laugh when I would see him at the post office.

Uncle Spot was a man that was loved by many. He always had a smile no matter what he may be going through. All that were close to him had a special relationship with him and we will cherish those precious memories, because he was so precious to us. He will be so greatly missed by so many.
