Robert Allan Adams

Robert Allan Adams passed away on November 23, 2018 at the age of 84. It brought a smile to his face to have been surrounded by his loving family and all of his grandchildren right before he passed. He has now rejoined his late wife, Marlene H. Adams in their heavenly home. He is also preceded in death by his parents; Earl A. Adams and Irma L. Adams and his siblings; Richard L. Adams and Earlene A. Ganucheau. He is survived by his children; Melissa Adams Aguilar (David) and Rebecca Adams. Grandfather of Christopher Taylor, Chad Adams, Gabriella Aguilar, David Aguilar Jr., and Isabella Aguilar. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and family members. Robert was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Jefferson Parish for many years. After graduating from high school in 1952 he went on to graduate from LSU with a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting in 1957. Soon after he became an auditor for the government from 1958 until 1990. In 1965, Robert met the love of his life, Marlene. They were married on April 23, 1966. The love that Robert had for Marlene was unmeasurable. Together they traveled to many places, especially on cruises. Robert was a respected member of the community. He was a longtime member of the Parkway Presbyterian Church. Robert enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. He loved sharing a good meal and sharing his great sense of humor with all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Parkway Presbyterian Church, 6200 Camphor St. Metairie, LA 70003, on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 12 Noon. Visitation will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. beginning at 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Cypress Grove Cemetery in New Orleans, LA.
