The 1949 St. Paul Saints Fearsome Threesome: Eric Tipton, Earl Naylor and Bob Addis.
I did not know Bob Addis personally, but we spent several hours on the telephone during the summer of 1913 in a multi-part interview for my book on the rivalry between the Millers and Saints. He was generous with his time, direct with his answers and gave me his best effort in answering my questions. It was a memorable experience during which I really felt as though I knew him.
