age 68, born Mar 27, 1950, passed away Nov 17, 2018. Robert Carlisle Alberhasky, M.D., age 68, passed away in Gainesville, Georgia during an aviation accident on 11/17/18. Robert was born to Robert and Hilda Alberhasky March 27, 1950 in Louisville, KY. He was the first of three brothers. He grew up Louisville, attending Bashford Manor Elementary and eventually Atherton High School. An Indiana University graduate in Bloomington, he attended medical school at the University of Louisville, where he also completed his Pathology residency and fellowship in Surgical pathology. He was a diplomat of the American Board of Pathology and fellow of the College of American Pathologists, with subspecialty certification in Cytology. Bob, to his many friends, practiced medicine for nearly 40 years as a community pathologist, primarily in Cleveland, OH and later in Atlanta, GA, where he was a partner in the specialty pathology practice Bako Dx. He was a published medical author and frequent speaker. Beyond the demands of medicine, Bob was a passionate fisherman, pilot, sailor, international traveler and tournament dart player. His love for darts and the accompanying rich social experience inspired him to open a sports bar, Riggy's Grill, in Gainesville, GA, creating a venue for good food and friendships, both central themes of Bob's life. His generosity toward others was unfailing and he would without hesitation take leave from his medical practice, traveling to counsel friends and family members as they struggled with the medical intricacies of healthcare. Robert is survived by his wife Teresa Alberhasky, brother Dr. Mark Alberhasky, brother Phillip Alberhasky, nephews Brandon Alberhasky and wife Sarah, Evan Alberhasky and wife Marina, and grandniece Katherine Alberhasky. A memorial service will be held at Riggy's Grill, 2415 Browns Bridge Rd, Gainesville, GA 30504 on Sunday, December 2 at 5pm. Donations of sympathy may be made to www.abovethecloudskids.org , an organization which provides underprivileged or medically challenged children with the opportunity to experience small plane flight.

Not sure what to say?

Dr. Bob The adventures I had because of you. Sailing on the dreaded red staying at the hanah estate, and your kind advice had led me to lead a fulfilled life. Thank you Bob. May you rest in peace. -Maureen Hildebrandt

You always told me the truth. I so miss you and jc. I miss you. May you rest in peace Bob. You and jc are the only family I had.

I am so sorry to hear about Bob. We share so many wonderful memories of growing up on Clayton Road. Bob was always so smart. The funniest thing about the bed and the senior play was that it was his parents', Dr. Bob and Hilda's bed. They returned from a trip abroad to find they had no place to sleep (as I recall).

I am not surprised to hear about the darts. He was one heck of a ping pong player too and is the only adult I know personally who taught himself to play the piano as an...

"Thanks for the memories, of Louie, Ella& Frank When DrB went to the Bank. We thank you so much." The Techs at Euclid Hospital affectionately called , Dr. A. We gave him a long framed poem written just for him that expressed some of the funny & many of the work experiences we had. He wasn't just a boss. He was a friend who really cared about what was going on in our personal lives. My 3 children, now grown adults with children of their own are also saddened by Dr.A's death. Dr.A had advised...

You have my deepest sympathy on your immeasurable loss. Life is so short and those we love are gone from our lives too quickly. God's promise to empty the grave in the near future is found at Hosea 13:14. May the God of loyal love comfort you during your time of sorrow.

Mark, Phillip, and Teresa please accept my condolences on Bobs untimely passing. There are so many memories of the early years growing up on Clayton Road. Funny stories, his Brodsky tour of Europe, the rocket fuel at Boy Scout Camp, his pet rabbits' trip to school, the Atherton senior class play where his bed, used as a prop, dropped the springs during the play. Even though I have not seen him in years he was a part of who I am, and his passing makes the world a little colder. Hug each...

Mark, Phillip, and Teresa - Very saddened to hear of Bobby's passing. Although we haven't seen you in a very long time, our family will always remember fondly your visits to Iowa City. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
