My fondest memories of my grandfather involve hiking in the Olympic Mountains, sharing an appreciation of the culinary arts, and watching cinema. We knew him as a gifted professional, a warm and kind friend, a fine thinker with a positive world view...as well as that quiet, quick and clever sense of humor!

Dr. Allman was a gracious caring physician and gentleman with a ready smile and a listening ear who was a witness to our Lord.

He was a fantastic Uncle, and a very gentle man. He was able to discuss anything with thoughtfulness and humor, whether it was the meaning of life or the trail to the top of Mt. Angeles.

My thoughts are with the family. Uncle Bob was a wonderful and generous soul. I loved his opera lectures and will miss him.

Bob and Joan Became Dear Friends of our family When They Moved Here from Dallas in the 1960's. An excellent surgeon, he and Doctor Edward Hopfner saved my life in 1991.
