This evening Marta and I watched "A Great Day in Harlam". We couldn't help but to be struck by the fullness of Bob's life. The people that he knew, the things that he did and the stories he could tell were remarkable unto themselves. I was very sad to hear about Bob's passing. My first job at Columbia was working for him in the publicity department. We always had a great relationship and I admired him very much.
I really enjoyed the times I came out to your house for lunches. I have fond memories of sitting around the pool with you and Bob and your two kids. He will be missed.

I was so sad to hear of Bob's passing today. I am sitting here in shock. You know I always looked forward to seeing him...whether at your house or at the store.
