Not sure what to say?

Mr. Ames was my grammar school music teacher when we were all very young. The kids would get excited when we knew he was coming. Iver the yesrssome one bring his name up when reminiscing about school Datsun the late 2959s and early sixties. Everyone I knew liked him as did his fellow teachers. I thought of him tonight and was saddened to see he had left us all.As a teacher he was one of the good guys.

Singing with Mr Ames in Holyoke High School was the most important part of my teenage years. He gave much to us all. Grace Merritt Briccetti, South Salem, NY

Like my brother, I also have very fond memories of my childhood on Parkview Drive, and the Ames home was always a warm and welcoming place to be. Thank you, Bob, for your part in all of my fond memories of the Ames household. We spent many a long day/night at your kitchen table playing Dungeons & Dragons...such great memories!! God Bless.

Dear Ames Family,

I'm very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I have nothing but fond memories of growing up in the Parkview Drive neighborhood with generous families and kind friends. Your home was always welcoming and Bob was at the forefront of that. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you during this difficult time.

Dear Mary Ellen and Family, I am so very sorry to have learned of Bob's passing. So many wonderful memories have flooded my mind...Better neighbors would not be found. It's hard to find the words to express my deepest sympathy. Bob was one of the kindest persons I ever met. Taylor fondly remembers him as his Boy Scout Leader. Please know you, Kevin, David and Stephen are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mary Ellen and Family,

Bob was unique, the world is not as bright without him. He was a great mentor to me and he will be greatly missed. Thank you for sharing him with all of us, we are better people because of knowing him.

Dear Mary Ellen,
I'm sorry for your loss. Bob brought love of life to many like me. As on the waterfront he encouraged us to strive to be better. What's so Bob is he did it with humor. His song will continue as we remember him. My love to you, Kevin, David, Stephen and Don.

Dear Ames Family Just heard about Bob so sorry we are going threw the same thing with out Mom who pass on the seventh of Nov.. Our prayer are with you

Love the Tonelli and Downey family.

Dear Mary Ellen,

I was so sorry to learn Bob died. I remember the time we three spent together in the choir at St. John's Episcopal Church in Northampton. The fellowship we shared through our mutual love of music is priceless, and I'll always remember the two of you in that context. My life is better having had the chance to know you two, even if for just a brief period of time.

May the light of God surround you and your family now and always. Heartfelt sympathy to you...
