Not sure what to say?

Some in Bob's family will remember Don and Suzanne Carlesco. Suzanne was a contemporary of Bob's at the Art Student's League in NY and was part of the ASL summer staff . My wife, Suzanne's sister, and I shared Suzanne and Don's appreciation of Bob as 'friend & neighhbor' & artist.. His painting of a sea cove in Mid Coast Maine and his Salzberg Cathedral are part of our family treasure.

What sad news. I just found out this morning. I spent quite a bit of time with "Daddy-O" in the early 80's, working at the Paradox Gallery, touching up the serigraphs and working at the Woodstock School of Art. Although I saw him all the time, he could never remember my name...he called me every "D" name in the book, which always cracked us both up. Good old Bob in is pink Pinto...RIP. My sincere condolences to Mara, Eric and Alex.

XO Danielle

We are very sad to hear of your loss. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.

We would like to share our heartfelt condolences with Mara, Nancy, Erick and all peaple who concern with WSA. We felt a deep loss by this sad news. We will remember Bob when we look up the moon and clouds in the night sky. Bob will be alive in our mind forever.

Bob was a remarkable, one-of-a-kind, unforgettable individual. He is one of the significant reasons that the meaning of Woodstock as an artist’s colony remains today. Woodstock owes him a tremendous debt of gratitude, as do all of us who knew him or have been touched by him indirectly through those who did.

Bob was the captain of our ship and the anchor in our lives. He was a man of the highest personal integrity, and set an example for all of us --- as an artist, teacher and a faithful friend.

Our condolences to all of you: especially Mara

This is such sad news for all who knew, loved and learned from Bob. I would not be the painter nor the person I am today were it not for Bob's teaching, example and friendship, starting for me in 1969. I have such great memories from the ASL and original WSA, and Bob's studio. Godspeed, Bob -- and a huge Thank You for all you gave me. Love to you, Mara, and Eric and Alex, and all the family.
