Not sure what to say?

One thing I can say about Robert is that I don´t ever remember anything other than kind words from him and his concern for the wellbeing of others. He was always upbeat and active in his church and still made time to stop and share is friendly nature at Angelina´s coffee shop H re is greatly missed by those who knew him!

I remember first meeting Bob at Angelina's Coffee shop. And he was just friendly and concerned for the well being of everyone. He would enquire how they were and would really show genuine concern and kindness. And this was typical every time I saw him which was mostly at the coffee shop. We talked about many things over the next few years and his uplifting support of others was a great example for me and others as well. We need many more like Bob. And I trust that he is now watching us all...

A great friend and Role Model who always showed concern for others. I will never forget him

A loving gentle soul, giving spirit and inspiring intellect. I always loved the lilt in his voice when he spoke. We offer prayers on his behalf and hugs to cousin Linda and their children. May angels have charge over him.

It was with sadness that I learned that he passed on April 21 of this year. I'm sorry I wasn't able to thank him for his influence while he was alive. When I was a student, I took...

Linda So sorry to read of Bob's passing. We are currently in London visiting with family so we wanted to express our condolences. Bill & Marsha Berry

Dear Mrs. Arruda, Matt, and Pam: I am so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. I always loved running into him around town - always genuinely interested in how I was and to say a kind word. Such a loving, sweet man. I will put him and your family in my prayers. Best, Peter Dugan

Bob was inspirational on so many levels, and he easily cultivated friendships far and wide. It is one of my great pleasures to count Bob as a friend and mentor, and conversing with him was always a rewarding experience: few people could ever come close to his depth of knowledge in practically any subject. One of my earliest memories of Bob (45 years ago!) was his talk at the Bristol Historical Society re the Azores with his special emphasis on local surnames: and "Arruda" turned out to be the...
