There are many wonderful things I remember about Bob. It was he and his Dad who first hired me in January, 1978. What a marvelous person to work with. My favorite memory was when we learned he loved pistachio nuts and proceeded to buy a very large bag for him and Bud Covey to devour. He will be greatly missed but my memories of Bob will never be forgotten.

I was very saddened to hear of Mr. Atkinson passing. He was a good friend of my father and mother, and to me. I cherish the memories of playing golf with Bob and my Dad at Portland Golf Club an Waverly. I also remember (however, not so fondly), of painting your place at Gearheart.
