Not sure what to say?

Bob, Virginia, and the whole Backman family were important, loved neighbors and friends when my husband, Doug, and I moved to into the amazing Parleys Ward. As the Bishop's counselor, my memory of Bro. Thank you brother Backman for you faith and courage to choose the right. You will always hold a special place in my heart

Dear Beverly, The passing of our dear colleague brings to mind so many rich and treasured experiences, experiences that influence us for the better each day. Bob was an inspiration to us as he was to everyone privileged to be in his company. We are so grateful that he and his influence will never end. Thank you for being by his side and part of our lives. I had the great honor working with Elder Blackman in the Missionary Dept. He was so kind and interested in each of us that worked in the department. We were so honored to have Elder Blackman seal Bruce and I in the SL Temple in 1987. Another great man has returned with honors to our Father in Heaven.

He life a few other General Authorities from our old neighborhood was well respected and will be remembered by all. I was one of many who enjoyed him in our bishopric when I was young and the many times of association. I served on Temple Square for 17 years and was grateful to run into him on several occasions. I know personally I will miss him. Condolances to his family for their loss.
