Not sure what to say?

When I was a little girl, Dr. Begemann was my doctor. I have so many good memories of him. He was so good to everybody. It´s not the same anymore these days with the way medical is going. No more compassion like the old days when Dr. Bakeman was just that way every time I saw him. No He was my doctor for at least 18 years. I just adored him. The only fun memories I have are going to his doctor office because I always look forward to seeing him because you´re such a great guy and so good to...

Aww..I just saw Dr Bakemans obituary. What a life well lived ! I was one of those 1,400 babies he delivered ! I have fond memories of him as our family doctor up until I became an adult. I´m sorry for your family´s loss.

With our deepest sympathy in the passing of your dad... My grandparents were one of Dr. Bakeman´s first patients when he began his practice and he has taken care of 4 generations of our family until his retirement. He was a great doctor and kind and gentle man with big and strong hands...oh how he could crack your neck/back!! May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed Rest In Peace. Amen

Sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Bakeman. Bob was a great colleague at Grand Rapids Osteopathic/Metropolitan Hospital. My condolences to the entire family.

Our sympathy goes to the family of Robert. He was a thoughtful and considerate man. He provided the glue that tied the families along Greenbrier Dr. together. I believe he and Shirley had more neighborhood gatherings than all the rest of the homes together, within a block. It gave all of us a chance to know each other. MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

We were so sad when Dr. Bakeman retired - he could never be replaced. When I was young mother he encouraged me to call him, even at home, if I was concerned about one of my children. And his wife was so gracious about it! We knew we could depend on him for the right diagnosis and treatment. Our whole family remembers him fondly as kind and caring, and a very good doctor. We were blessed to have him.

I will always be grateful for the way Grandpa Bob welcomed us so warmly into his family. He was a class act, and while we didn´t see each other frequently, our times together were jovial and comfortable, and that is how I will remember him. Sending love to the rest of his family.

We moved to Ada in the mid 60's. My mother was an RN and with her medical experience and knowledge she looked to Dr. Bakeman to be our family physician. She knew we were in good hands. As one of 6 kids, there were many occasions to use Dr. Bakemans' services. My memories are of a gentle, kind and caring man. Ada/Cascade was lucky to have a physician of his quality and amenable demeanor. Rest in peace Doc.
