On this sad anniversary I just want to say that Robert was absolutely fantastic to talk to and to work with everyday. I always looked forward to talking to him and he always put a smile on my face with his warm personality, thoughtful demeanor and the energy of his presence. He will always be sadly missed by me and many others here at Fort Polk that had the blessing of knowing him.

I absolutely enjoyed working with SSG Baker at JRTC. Everytime I was down all I had to do was talk with him and his big smile and gregarious laugh would put a warm fuzzy in my heart. He always seemed happy and willing to help anyone who was in need. His loss is great but I'm proud to have met and known Robert and I will never forget him.
