I was the Helicopter Detachment CPO and the crew chief on his Helicopter from the time he took over as COMSEVENTHFLEET. on my last at sea period prior to transferring I nDec 1976 he came to the helo when we landed to shake my hand and wish me good luck i was very impressed with his concern

I served with The Admiral on CG5 as a cook on the 7th fleet mess management group assigned to his cook and stateroom assignments.
I was a MS3 at the time, 1977-79. A great man! a sailors sailor!

I proudly served under Capt. Baldwin on USS Forrestal, 1968-69. He was a wonderful man, officer, and a very kind and understanding leader. He was respected by all who served under his command. May you rest in peace, Admiral. Job well done!

Served under then Captain Baldwin in USS Chipola as a YN1.He was a very good Sklpper and much respected and admired by his crew. Hand salute to you Skipper.

Our deepest condolences to you and your family Corinne. Bob was a wonderful, kind-hearted man that will be truly missed. May you find peace in his passing and know he is always watching over you. He will forever be in our hearts.
