Not sure what to say?

Bob and I used to tune up our cars together. Points, plugs, rotar, condenser, plugs, oil, timing, etc. to save money back in the 70's. Did many teacher training programs together. Traveled to the Amazon together to work with the YMCA of Barsil.

I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Barkman`s passing. When I started Springfield College in 1980, Dr. Barkman, or as we called him, "Bio Bob", was my first biology professor - I remember him being so laid back and soft spoken. He was also a good sport - he was game for any crazy experiment that we wanted to do (mice and testosterone come to mind!). And I smile as I remember giving him and his children a tennis lesson - the student became the teacher that day! His intellect and kindness touched...

I worked with Bob at SC and I also had the opportunity to attend one of Dr. Bob's classes. Bob's approach to life, nature and education is inspiring. His caring approach to life was infectious and did make a positive difference in this world. My deepest sympathies to Dawn and your loved ones.

Dr. Bob was my freshman Biology teacher at SC. He inspired me to begin my own teaching career and I have been a Biology teacher for 30+ years. I will never forget his kindness and helpful nature. RIP Dr. Bob.

My condolences. Rest in peace dr Barkman

Bob was a true gentleman, always considerate, always professional. I am happy to have had the opportunity to work with him.

Dawn, With my deepest sympathy and love, Meri Kassanos

I had the privilege of working in the Education Department while attending Springfield College. Dr Bob was such a light. I loved his laugh and the presence he held. One of my favorite memories was being given the opportunity to create an apron for him to wear for a pancake breakfast. He adored it and I was so happy to be able to craft it for him. His smile was infectious. May the joy of memories shared help to fill the sorrowful time. My sincerest condolences to your families.

Dear Dawn, I was sorry to learn of Bob's passing. He made such a difference in so many lives. Mary
