Not sure what to say?

I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Coach Barnes. I would see him at the girls games (because Debbie and the other girls that played in sports). We shared grand childrens pictures at Dillons. He will be missed by all who knew him. The family is in my prayers.

Thank you for always taking the time to listen and then teach us about science, life, sports, what ever it was that you felt we needed. You always made the time for your students. The impact that you made will live on through the lives of your students. Thank you Coach Barnes!

Wonderful teacher, coach and a kind hearted man! You'll be missed coach Barnes.

He will be missed! He and Shawn can now catch up.

7th grade basketball at Reed, first place. Freshman basketball at HHS, first place. You were our coach, our friend, and the coach we all wanted to play for. Many years later, we all would buy stamps at the Dillons store hoping to see you there, buy our stamps, but most importantly, to have a short visit with you.
Lindy Snider, HHS class of '76.

One of my favorite teachers. He was gentle and firm and always encouraging.

Our sincere thoughts & prayers go out to you Ms.Mary Jane Barnes & family. We miss you and love you. Hugs wrapped in prayers. Sincerely, Lullel & Lisa (Vote) Hickman and family (Marion C. Early High School Classes of 1980 & 84)

Prayers to all who knew and loved Coach Barnes. He touched so many lives and will be greatly missed. I for one would not be the same without his smiling face and true fairness that he bestowed upon every student as well as anyone he ever came into contact with. Coach Barnes, you will be truely missed, but always remembered.
