Robert Michael Barnes

I had the good fortune of meeting Bob and Sherri early in my career at Ace Hardware Corp in Chicago, traveling around the country to buy toys and Christmas decorations for customers at his store. Bob had a genuine enthusiasm for both that was infectous to everyone he touched, including me. He taught me a lot about people and having fun at what you do.

We'll miss him dearly at Ace.

I have had so many good times with you and Bob! I will miss his quick wit and even quicker smile! He always had a soft kiss on the cheek eveytime he said Hello. Sherri, you said it when you said Bob lived a good life...He had you and many friends. I will miss him dearly.

Dear Sheri: I am Leanne Lambert, Gloria Shores best freind. I just learned of Bob's death today when I called Jay. I am sure we met at least once but I feel I know you both so well from Jay and Gloria. I just want to say how sorry I am for your loss and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Mary and I just found out about Bob's passing, today. He was always a friend and as a former student of mine, we very often talked about old times. All the best to you. He will be missed.

I am so sorry...You and Bob were such a special couple. I remember the day introducing you two to each other and the lunch date that lasted all these years!

Bob fell in love with you on that first date and fell deeper in love with you each day forward.
