Not sure what to say?

My husband and I were talking about how blessed we have been with our doctors. Dr. Barnett was my first doctor in Canada, he was very kind and patient with me. I had 48 hours of labour and ended up having a cesarian section. He took care of me all the way, somehow I stayed in Burnaby Hospital for 12 days in total, in a private room. It was December 1981. Five years later, I had a planned cesarian birth for our second child with Dr. Baldwin. On the day of my surgery, a moment before my...

Today is my daughter's 51st birthday, and I was thinking about Dr. Barnett and what a fine person and excellent doctor he was. All those years ago, he delivered Shannon (and then had to go Christmas shopping)
and, several years later, another child. I often think of him and remember his kind and professional manner and great smile.

What a beautiful Man. Dr. Barnett was our family physician from the 1960's onward. I'm really happy that I got to know him, even as a patient. Mrs. Barnett and family, you know so many people loved and admired your husband.
With Love.

Dr. Barnett delivered me in July 1964 and remained my doctor until he retired in 1994, 30 years of kindness, compassion, and always greeted me with a smile. My family has many fond memories of Doctor Barnett. My dad had the opportunity to have Doctor Barnett accompany employees of ships of various countries when they needed to get back to their homeland. My dad would not have had it any other way and thankful that Doctor Barnett was willing to step outside of his regular practice and...

I loved helping Dr. Barnett with the boat over the years, he was incredibly kind and a great pleasure to be near. I would like to recognize his wisdom and humour, particularly at the time of the birth of our son where his advise and help were a great comfort to us. My endless respect to you, Dr Barnet, thank you.

All of us at Burnaby Hospital Foundation were deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Barnett a friend and long-time supporter. On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff, we offer our sincere condolences. We will remember Doug with deep affection.

Dr. Barnett (Doug) along with Dr. Ken Hill... You both were coveted GPs of mine and my family, and I grew up with your kids through Edmonds and onwards.
You were never above anybody and you always had a smile. When retiring to surgery you hand picked one of the best doctors I ever met Dr. G Thauli. (Current).
RIP, and thank you so much because they certainly don't make them like you anymore and never will...

To Iris and the Barnett family,
We are thinking of you today and wish we in Vancouver to join in the celebration of Doug's life. What a life he lived and what an inspiration he was to many. Our sincere condolences to all of you.
