Not sure what to say?

There is a hole in the heart of the Diocese of Scranton tonight, with the death of such a remarkable man as Robert Barone. Very few others are so well suited to bring the Word of God to life. He was just 'a guy' who happened to have a brilliant mind and a heart which sought nothing less than to have the Word take root in his life. Without a doubt, we are all something less without him.

We have lost a great biblical scholar and theologian. Fr. Bob was a rich source of inspiration for the priests and people of the Scranton Diocese. His extensive background brought the Scriptures to light in a way rarely heard in homilies and read in articles. It is an understatement to say that he will be greatly missed. May God reward him generously for his devoted priestly service. May he rest in peace.
