Bob was only 7 years older than me but, especially in my earlier years of practicing law, I saw him as a mentor. He was always available and helpful with the most valuable advice. Sometimes it was homespun. Sometimes technical. On rare occasions maddening. Always, always enlightening. Truly a brilliant man and lawyer. They do not make them like Bob any longer. He will be missed.
