Not sure what to say?

Dear Wanda and Family, on behalf of Carol Binkelman Schwab, Bob's cousin whom they shared their maternal grandparents, our hearts are with you and remain heavy at hearing of the passing of Bob. We are so grateful for the time you spent to drive up to East Lansing to see the cousins (Carol and Bob Binkelman) a couple years back. We feel blessed for a few moments together in this later part of life. Sending hopes that the entire Bartlett family will hold each other close through these first...

Dr. B, Respect and thanks! Marilyn

Dr Bartlett saved my life. I was on ECMO for two weeks in 2018. Thank you Dr. Bartlett, for everything you did. I will never forget you.

Dear Wanda, My heart is with you. Bob was extraordinary. From our Albion days through his remarkable career, he was always kind and compassionate.

A polymath and humanist of first order, a lifelong dear friend, profoundly to be remembered. Wanda, thanks for sharing him with us for 65 years; love you.

Robert Bartlett, MD was a true professional who in my view carried the mantle of humility and extreme caring with all he interacted. Dr B (as he was known to me) hired and mentored me through a life-changing research career after I lost my job at Pfizer which closed in 2007. In my 12+ years in the Extracorporeal Life Support laboratory (University of Michigan Medical School) I was instilled with the ability to perform medical research to a greater level than I even thought possible; all due...

My then husband had a 10% chance of living when Dr. Bartlett took him on as an ECMO patient and saved his life. During the two month time spent at the U.M. Hospital I got to know Dr. Bartlett as a brilliant surgeon and researcher, but also as the kind, caring man he was. The world will mourn his passing. but our memories of him will live on forever.

Robert Bartlett was really a great researcher, surgeon in the worldwide efforts to help patients with cardiovascular deseases, and a great fatherly colleague in the American and the International Societies of Artificial Organs. Thank you very much and rest in peace, dear friend.

Dr. Bartlett was a brilliant, caring, kind, multitalented and honorable man. He was my wonderful boss for a period of time until it was time to advance my career. In his retirement and as an emeritus professor he could often be seen working in an office near to our own at the university, so his work continued. His work and inventions saved thousands of lives. His passing is a sad loss for our community and the world at large. Requiem Pace, Dr. Bob. My condolences to the Bartlett family and...
