Not sure what to say?

When I read this name and a bell went off. Bob worked for my parents when they owned and ran the Saline Taxi Cab. They have been gone for many years so I doubted that this could be the same person........but it was! I just want to say thank you for all the help he was to my parents. He was a kind person. R I P Bob Basset.

Rob and family,Joe and family, Scott and family, sorry to hear about the loss of your dad, my prayers go out to all of you and also to the rest of his family and friends. May God Bless you all

Blessings to Bob's family. When I read the name I wondered if it could be the same Bob Bassett that was a friend of my Mom & Dad when they ran the Saline Cab. Co. and - it was! What a sweet man he was. I remember when I had our second son - who weighed 10# 3/12 oz - he sent me a dozen yellow roses because he said I "earned them". Your father was a very special man. Sincerely,
Lois (Arms)Milkey

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Our deepest sympathy to family and friends of Bob. I had the pleasure of getting to know Bob through my visits to Brookdale. He was a very kind and caring gentleman! I enjoyed our conversations about northern Michigan, or just things in general. I will always picture him in one of the high backed chairs by the piano, chatting with another gentleman named Bob. He will be missed by many! John, Helen, and Christine

Our family had the pleasure of getting to know Bob shortly after my father's (Ted Wahl) death. My dad also worked for Michigan Bell with Bob. Bob made many phone calls to my mom checking on her after my dads death. We became good friends with Bob. Our family took him into our fold. He came to many of our family birthdays, Christmas gatherings and Thanksgiving dinners. We always enjoyed his many life stories. I mostly enjoyed Bob calling me on my birthday and singing happy birthday to me. ...

So sorry for your loss, but grateful for having known of Mr. Bassett's legacy: three fine sons!

Thinking of you and your families with deepest sympathy. ~Belinda Ealy Carter, SHS '68

As a new Chaplain at Brookdale, it was my great pleasure to meet and chat with Robert on regular occasions. He had a full life and a great heart, and I know he was ready to go home to God. Family and friends should know that, despite his condition, he prayed regularly for others and less seldom for himself. He had an amazing memory and talked often of family. My prayers are with Robert during his transition and with family and friends during their grieving.
