Not sure what to say?

Bob and I were students together at WMU. And even though we were contemporaries, Bob was my mentor in accounting and believe that was not an easy task!! After we graduated, Bob and Judi became good friends while we worked together at WMU. What incredible people they are/were at all levels. The most appropriate description of Bob was his Eagle Scout Achievement. He was mature beyond his years as a student and an admirable person both as a student, and subsequently, through his professional and...

My brother (jim & l Janet Hope) went to school in Lawton, MI with Robert. The Beam home was across Nursery Street from our home. He was active in school, & scouts. I remember my father saying Robert would do very well in life. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and entire family. May he resting peace Janet (Hope) Squires.

My dad knew Bob while a student at WMU and graduated the same year as he did. I enjoyed seeing Bob and Judi at St Luke´s. Always a kind hello!

Bob Beam was simply an outstanding human being. He was extremely helpful to me with great advice and always with a smile - and sometime with a little chuckle. His contributions to WMU were enormous and will stand the test of time!

Bob was a truly fine person. He and I were longtime colleagues at WMU who became good friends. We began with a bit of a barrier between us when I was a young upstart member of the faculty AAUP collective bargaining team. Our big breakthrough toward a first contract came when the administration team called Bob in to discuss proposal costs seriously for the first time. Our team knew we could count on Bob´s integrity and honesty. And his good humor. He will be missed. Debby and I send our...

Bob was one of the finest men I have ever known. We started working together at WMU in 1964-5. He was always very professional but very friendly with an amazing smile. We became friends with he and his lovely wife Judi and both families had our children Together. Everyone was always welcome at the Beams, fun, food, refreshments, great parties. He will be greatly missed, though I know he is at peace in a glorious heavenly place.
