As a cub reporter who covered Charlton for the Southbridge Evening News 10 years ago, Bob Beaudette was a constant source -- of news and of laughs. I always enjoyed standing outside Town Hall with him after a selectmen's meeting to get his unique take on how the meeting went. We had so many great laughs together, but he also provided enormous insight into the Charlton community, her history, her politics, and her people. The passion he showed for his town was incredible, and I'll never forget...

My thoughts are and heartfelt sorrow is with the Beaudette Family. Robert understood the true meaning of the word "friend" and he applied it wholeheartedly. I will miss him. Bev, Debbie and Michael, be comforted knowing he was proud to leave us his best legacy...his Family.
