Robert E. Becker, 79 of Lorain, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 in his home following a lengthy illness.


 He was born March 5, 1939 in Lorain to Emil and Frances (née Loose) Becker and was raised in Avon. Robert moved his family to Lorain in 1960. He graduated from Avon High School in 1958. Robert retired from B. F. Goodrich in 1994. He also worked for A&P grocery store. He was a member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, Lorain. Robert enjoyed gardening, fishing, and camping with his family.


 He will be dearly missed by his wife of 60 years Donna Becker of Lorain; his sons Robert T. Becker of Elyria and Richard A. Becker of Amherst; daughter Kimberly Becker of Lorain; brother Charles (Janet) Becker of Lorain; grandchildren Derik Wilhelm, Brandon (Lynne) Wilhelm, Lindsey Becker, Carine (Mike) Bryda and Hannah Becker and 3 great grandchildren.


 Other than his parents Robert was preceded in death by his sisters Evelyn Wadatz and Ida Warner.


 His family will receive friends Tuesday, August 14 from 10 until time of his Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Dr. (Grove Ave. and Homewood Dr.) Lorain Ohio. Rev. Father John C. Retar, Pastor will officiate.


 His family suggests memorial contributions to the Saint Frances Cabrini Parish Endowment Fund, 2143 Homewood Dr. Lorain, Ohio 44055.
