Great person to have as an uncle and mentor. I miss him.

Has it been 5 years already?
The pain I feel at your leaving us is as strong today as it was then.
I never took the time to thank you for all the wonderful things you did for our family, when we had no one else to turn to.

I was thinking of Uncle Bob after talking with David today.
After reading all the nice things I realized I wasn't one of the people who wrote about him.
Uncle Bob probably did more for us than I'll ever know.
He was always glad to see me. We had a lot of laughs, especially when he'd try to bluff me at poker. Just about half the time he'd get away with it and he'd get the laugh. When it didn't work I seemed to get more enjoyment than he did. It was all in fun.

Over the past few days, the beautiful words written and spoken in honor of our dad, have underlined to all of us that we don't even have to tell you how amazing he truly was.
We've been blessed to know that the man, who so beautifully loved us and shaped our lives, also made a lasting impression in each of yours. If you knew dad you knew a man who loved and valued you in such a way that you would want to take the time today, to honor him, to write a sentiment, to share in our grieving and...

My thoughts and prayers are with the Bedgood family. An awesome man has crossed over to his life with God. He will be missed by so very many.
