Sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. My thought and prayers are with the entire family. I remember Bob & Karen flying into the Owishead Transportation Museum, just south of Rockland, Maine, during "fly in weekend ". That T-28 was a real crowd pleaser ! Bob would often call my Dad ( Richard Hastings Jr.) to let him know that he would be starting up the T-28 and head out of Skyhaven Airport in Rochester. My Dad loved to witness the start-up and take-off, and got along swell with Bob. ...

Dearest Karen and the Beranger Family, We were deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing. He was truly one of the good guys and someone I considered as one of my childhood heroes. I looked forward to seeing him each September at the Bauer Motorcycle Reunion. My condolences to the Beranger family, I only had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Beranger a few times and he always had a smile on his face. He'll be missed by all who knew him, of that I'm sure.
