Robert G. Berfield, age 70, of Luckey, OH passed away on Friday morning, May 13, 2005, at his residence. Robert was born in Waukegan, IL on September 22, 1934 to Wilbur and Esther (Hedges) Raidart. He was raised by Gail and Ocie (Miner) Berfield. He married Marilyn Schoner on June 22, 1957 in Plymouth, IN and she survives. Robert was a Senior Enlisted Man I & I Staff Marine retiring from Bayview Park USMC Reserve Center, Toledo, OH after 20 years of service. He also was the Branch Manager for Luckey Farmers for 25 years. Robert was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, OH and a member of the Luckey American Legion Post #240.

Surviving Robert are his Wife: Marilyn of Luckey, OH, Sons: Robert G. (Kim) Berfield of Woodville, OH, Mark (Polly) Berfield of Perrysburg; OH, Curt Berfield of Luckey, OH, Daughter: Celia (Jay) Haas of Luckey, OH, and 8 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and Infant Daughter Vickie Sue Berfield.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2005, from 2-9 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street, Luckey, OH where there will be a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM and a Marine Corp League Service to follow the Scripture Service. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 16, 2005 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, OH. Interment will be in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey, OH. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers a memorial contribution to the American Cancer Society be consider. On-line condolences may be sent to www.marshfuneralhomes.com.
