In the mid 1970´s I met Bob and we became good friends. Later we moved to Glen Ellen and I kept in touch with Bob. His smile and warm nature was very special. I remember when he opened his studio just south of the Sonoma Square. Later we moved to Missouri. I still have a wonderful print Bob gave me with O Tannenbaum written in his lovely calligraphy. I also have a detailed watercolor (photos). Bob was so gracious and kind to everyone.

I´ll remember the good times Bob, the fun and laughter and the silliness we shared. I was always in awe of your far reaching talents. Your spirit will live on. Lola

So sad to hear that this amazing kind man has gone. I admired his work, was stunned by his creativity and talent. He shared a look at his journals when he taught an art class in Moon Valley, told us some stories from his past, and I went to various galleries to see his paintings, calligraphy and other work. Even though I seldom saw him, just knowing he was in the world was enough to make me smile.

Bob was such a bright light. I enjoyed walking in his door to see his smiling face. He was so kind, loving and generous with a great sense of humor. I will miss him dearly.
